Class Room Corner
Wow! Did you hear about our butterflies? We
hope your children shared the wonder and
excitement we all felt as we watched all the
changes: tiny caterpillars, fat caterpillars, hanging
chrysalis, the waiting , the hatching, butterflies
emerging and finally their release! We also really
enjoyed our science center during the month of
May: observing, predicting and measuring;
discovering all about plant life and those
"interesting" insects all offered lots of hands on
learning!
As we plan for the month of June, we wonder
how this year is going by so fast! This month we will
have fun reading lots of books about the zoo and zoo
animals. We will sing our way through the month,
sometimes acting out the songs with movement. We
will enjoy getting ready for summertime fun,
playing with water and bubbles.
This looks to be like great month and I believe
that the children will have fun with all the different
themes and outdoor fun!
Discovery Table Fun!
For our summer months our discovery table
moves out side for warm weather fun such as:
* water and paint brushes
* Colored ice cubes
* Soapy water for a car wash
* Bubbles
In place of our discovery station we have our own
Little Tykes zoo where the children get to be zoo
keepers and tend to there animals. They also get to
go on rescue missions and help bring back hurt or
animals that are in danger to there zoo.
